9181 01/07/2016 Trekking 165 /The mushrooming teahouses and inns at the trekking routes have changed the dimension of modern day trekking; but despite all the oddities, we should not forget that the Camp Trek is still the mother of all trekking adventures. Understandably, after an energy gobbling hike day in the remotest countryside, a hot shower and succulent meal at one of the trekking inns out there, would probably be a dream ask for any fatigued trekker. But, putting up with the logistical hurdles, eating just to pacify your hunger not to please your taste buds, feeling all tired and smelly & withstanding almost unendurable idiosyncrasies of your mates, endeavoring to perceive yourself cozy and secured under the canopy of cloth sheets (tents)….and above all that, being on the lap of mother nature like her genuine component, is indeed something out of the box!! We keep harping about the natural way of life and ironically, try our best not to adopt it.
When was the last time you heard a cricket chirping freakishly close to your ears while you were asleep? Have you ever noticed the trees swaying to the tunes of the singing winds? Did you ever wear the same clothe for over a week without bothering how dirty it has actually gotten? It’s now time you land yourself in the tough rugged terrains fraught with several obstacles. This is the thrill of a camp trek, and when you accomplish it, you get the feel of not anything less than triumphing the soccer world cup.
With its multifarious topography ranging from flat lowlands of terai and Himalayan foothills to the Trans Himalayan regions, Nepal boasts an extensive range of unique floras and faunas and an enticing cultural diversity. Imagine yourself camping right under the base the mighty Everest, knowing that the first sight you will witness in the morning is this formidable snow clad giant glaring down at you.
